Add the scent of rosemary to chase away any thoughts other than Christmas.
Add a few dents here and there to the truck, and Christmas in Texas comes to my mind. Trucks for working ranches, farms, and construction sites are the reasons for trucks in Texas. Not city-slicker trucks with chrome bumpers parked in front of a luxury hotel in New York.
Red trucks with 200,000 miles on their odometers travel two-lane backroads hauling needed supplies. Jolting along over potholes, gravel, and mud, the ride is not easy on the passengers, the cargo, or the truck.
Yepper, an old dented red truck hauling green rosemary trees in its bed says, "Christmas in Texas."

ReplyDeleteLOVE!
ReplyDeleteToooooo darn cute, Miss Judith!
My Mr D has a well worn and loved red truck. He commutes to and fro the park and ride in it each work day.
I could roll in Rosemary. Since that is not an option, I keep it on my window sill to snip place in my champagne with pomegranate jewels.
May God Bless you and Texas!

ReplyDeleteJudith, this is a clever idea! Makes me want a red truck full of trees. '-)
ReplyDeleteAdding this to my Pinterest board. Thanks!
I don't have a red truck :^(, but I do have a miniature Mack truck...made of wood by my Dad. At this moment, it is full of tiny wrapped packages with a nice green bottle brush tree on top. I put a couple of flameless candles with timers among the packages, so it really looks cute at night!! Thank you for your always wonderful posts!! I know you spend a lot of time to teach, encourage and inspire us, and I appreciate that!!
ReplyDeleteMany blessings,
J
