Sharon Santoni, author of My French Country Home, has written a moving post, making sense of it all, in response to the violent acts in Paris.
Vive la France!

Ever mindful that to do nothing is to grant victory to those whose actions oppose us,
I am posting my regular blog post about beauty as a way to say
we will go on, and we will not be defeated.
Ahh, thank you so much for telling me about Sharon's post. I will visit her immediately. And, thank you for commenting on my blog about this mindlessness. Yes, we will all carry on, just as we did after 9/11, we will stand strong & reach out to the French, indeed all peoples who have suffered at the hands of these maniacs. You are just so lovely !!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sharon's post, we must carry on and express our sympathies and not stop living!
ReplyDeleteIt's very hard when you are sad and mourning for the pain in our world, to post about happy things, but we must.
So very sad.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY!
Blessings,
Cindy
Well said. I completely agree.
ReplyDeleteJudith, the most amazing thing is that it was a Facebook friend who lives in Paris "Safety Check" that alerted me that something bad was happening in Paris. I was at my desk when my little android went crazy.I was both impressed and relieved by the "Safety Check" feature on FB.
ReplyDeleteYour image of the French flags is stunning and a beautiful tribute to the place on earth that inspires us so.
It's time to lift ourselves from the sadness, and go on. If we don't the terrorists win.
