Parisian Fall Tablescape

One last look this year at
fall in the air in
P~a..r.i~s

Come along with me for
voyage to Paris.

We will take a leisurely stroll along the banks of the Seine River
lined with trees whose leaves are turning brown,
linger on one of the many bridges that span the Seine,

And enjoy a quiet moment in historic Square Louvois park...
in the rain...

Square Louvois is but one of the hundreds of small parks
scattered throughout Paris
and enjoyed by residents in the surrounding neighborhoods
filled with the distinctive Parisian rooflines.

The sugar bowl's and creamer's shapes remind us
of the Parisian skyline.

Then...
Grab your metro map

The metro is the fastest way to get around, especially on a
fall day when pluie (rain) can happen anytime.

Of course, you may prefer to use the APP on your phone
to chart your metro route.

First stop ~ Museé D'Orsay and its magical clocks...

We are just in time for a wonderful lunch.

French Onion Soup says...
FRANCE

Enjoy a steaming bowl at the Museé D'Orsay restaurant

A bowl of French Onion Soup is the perfect starter on a Fall day back at home, too.

A few clouds or a little rain won't keep us from seeing
the Eiffel Tower.

Flowers everywhere ~ from florists to city markets to parks...
to conservatories with beautiful arched windows...

A quick look at our maps to decide where to go next...

Old Paris Map

Old Paris maps printed on 8.5"x14" paper make great placemats.

After a day soaking in Parisian sights
(fingers crossed we didn't get soaked by rain),
a concert at the Opéra on a rainy evening
is a perfect ending to a Fall day in Paris.

There is just enough time and energy left to write a
few postcards to friends back home

or in Marseille.

before drifting off to sleep in our room at the majestic Hotel Les Etoiles.

A Parisian Fall day full of glorious memories...
