French Country Christmas Greenhouse

Tuesday, December 15, 2020

The greenhouse is a working greenhouse in the depths of winter, but during the Christmas season, the greenhouse is a special space for a little bit of French Country Christmas.

A working greenhouse in the depths of winter is a special space for a little French Country during the Christmas season
During the Christmas season this year, a fresh boxwood wreath hangs from a sheer lavender ribbon on the glass door to greet visitors to the greenhouse.

Salvaged vintage doors from San Diego were repurposed as the west wall with French Country style in a green house.
A double-balled topiary plant sits in front of each of the matching blue wood doors repurposed as the west wall of the greenhouse. Salvaged from San Diego, California, the doors lend authentic French style to the greenhouse. The doors' large metal door handles, metal stud decor along the top and bottom of each door, and elaborate hinges are reminiscent of doors from medieval France.

Poinsettias say Christmas in the French Country Christmas greenhouse
No other flower says Christmas as much as poinsettias. Paperwhites, cyclamens, and hellebores are also used during the holidays, but poinsettias take centerstage at nurseries and garden centers because so many people select them.

And, no other fabric says French Country as much as toile. A red and white quilted toile throw gives the greenhouse true French Country Christmas flair!

Layers of French Country style come from adding French script and French designs scattered among the flowers.

Add a little joy to a nook in your home this Christmas to give it French Country style like the greenhouse
After Christmas, the greenhouse will resume its working status and be filled with plants brought inside to survive the cold winter months ahead. Until then, the greenhouse is filled with French Country Christmas style.

Add a little Christmas JOY
with whatever makes you happy.

And, if you love French Country Style,

Fill a little nook with touches of
