A Christmas cadeau

for myself.

Can you guess what it is?

Something that was on my Paris wish list while in France in September...

A Paris wish list does not have to be a NOEL wish list. No, browsing a Paris brocante can take place anytime, not just at Christmas. Yet, finding a long-coveted Paris bleu seltzer bottle in a Paris flea market is like opening presents on Christmas morning.

Oh, the excitement!

Lovely, Judith! Your cadeau is sparkling! I have a special Parisian cadeau. Once in the puces, my husband was making a purchase. I was browsing while he was making the transaction, when I picked up a small enamel and silver pill box. I ran my fingers over the smooth enamelware top and admired it. When the sales transaction was all complete, and we were ready to leave, the antique dealer took my hand and placed the petite boite in the palm of my hand. Smiling she simply said, "Cadeau." It has always held a special spot in our home, and each time I pick it up I smile. And they say Parisians are rude. I have never had someone be rude to me in Paris. Just the opposite!
